Many years ago, someone brought the subject up-- and it did intrigue me. The one big question, where to get the metal 'caps' for the joint end-- Solution: use jingle bells!!! open the bell, remove the little ball, then clamp the bell on to the end of the foot. Run the little chain or a key ring through the bell's little holder loop... Voila-- Lucky Rabbits Foot! --well, not for the rabbit!

 

[Bad Habit]

Well, I am gluing the foot into a coil of copper. They are drying right now, and I will salt them when I get home. I needed a process which I had the things on hand for.

 

[Frecs]

A) numerous folks say they've preserved feet with salt so it should work. You'll soon find out!
B) Even if the residual salt does patina the copper, that would add to the affect if your niece(?) is going to put it on her quiver.
