Well it's extremely short notice but I'm taking two of my FWs to a rabbit show this weekend. It's a double/double but I can't go on Saturday so I'm off to the show on Sunday and I've invited Whipple to come with.

I absolutely do not expect to do anything there but have fun

Showing is so much more fun when you aren't doing it by yourself :D

I have only shown twice, and it was more to get experienced evaluations of my rabbits than anything else- prizes and ribbons were not my concern. :)

I am sure you will gain valuable insight into the good and bad aspects of your rabbits and hopefully you will meet some other breeders that can help you further your goals.

Back from the show and a great time was had by all. I was pleasantly surprised when my senior doe placed 2nd in her class and my senior buck placed third in his in the first show. The second show we did nothing, exactly what I expected :) I met a lot of great people and saw some very nice rabbits including my first Elop I now understand the attraction but there will not be one in my future since I can't keep them outside and my ferrets would love those ears far too much, not a good thing for bunny.
I got a couple of contacts for future purchases as well

Almost forgot, I picked up a cute pitcher/ vase in the raffle. I think I'm coming down with Rabbitosis Clubitis because I'm getting an urge to find a sewing machine and a ceramics shop and build dolls again. I haven't thought about making dolls in years but it seems it may be time to start again

Congratulations! Great to hear you had a good time! Bunnies did well and you made future contacts! Excellent.

I'm so new to this website but i was wondering if anyone new if there was any Standard Rex (blue) breeders around the state of Maryland or close to it? I have castors and reds but i would love to get into blues. I would love a Buck and a doe and thm to be showable and pedigreed.

It was a fun show. I won in the raffle too.....a light thingy for my son. It was fun and now I have this urge to have bunnies I bred up on the table. Oh, and those elops! So freaking cute. And I think I might be able to keep ONE in my grooming room. Maybe.

Glad you had so much fun. Looking forward to my first show experience on Sept. 15th. Congratulations for winning the raffle, and hope your son is enjoying his light thingy, lol. Also hope you get that one elop to keep in your grooming room.
