So I butchered an older Californian doe (7-8month probably. Breeder never sent me a pedigree for the pair
The buck ended up having a split and she never produced  ) for missing three times and she gave me about 6/7lbs of meat. Close friends with the meat department, my friend happily chopped up a couple of 7-8 week olds and made me ground rabbit with the older doe. Half of the ground rabbit was traded for 18 fresh eggs and the other was to make some lovely burgers.
We chopped onions, garlic salt, and mashed those in with smoke flavoring. We would of added Wisheshire sauce, but we were out
We cooked them in a pan...and they were delicious!
They looked like turkey burgers! They tasted great. Think I'm going to ask my friend to ground more rabbit for me with the next meat mutt litter.
Tomorrow, I'm thinking either crock pot some of the rabbit pieces,or maybe oven fried rabbit....
They were a little over 7 weeks ( testing the meat toughness/ flavoring.
