I have posted something like this before, but my holland lop buck is pretty thin. I took him to a show back in January and the judge said he needed to put more weight on. The last time I posted this, everybody said to feed him BOSS. I have been for about 6 months now, but there's a problem. He doesn't like it. He picks it out of his food. I continued feeding it to him for so long hoping he would eventually give in, but he hasn't. He is going through a good growth spurt right now, but he is still pretty skinny and i'm not sure what to do :x

I have a suggestion equestrian<3,
Have you tried feeding Rolled Oats?
Use the store brand as they are all the same thing.
Oats will put on flesh, not fat. feed them as a top dressing
with your pelleted rabbit feed 18% is better than 16%.
Rabbits have a small stomach so will take in more protein/calories
with less feed when using the higher percentage pellets.
Always have plenty of drinkable water available.
If a rabbit can't drink, it won't eat.
I hope this helps.

I would recommend getting the rolled oats out of the bulk bins. You can get a prepackaged 1lb. bag for $4 or you can get them for $0.89/lb

I agree rolled oats are a good idea. I wonder if the reason he didn't eat the BOSS was because of the shells. I'd go to a bulk food store and buy some raw, unsalted sunflower and pumpkin seeds, both without shells. Pumpkin seeds help immobilize internal parasites so they can be easily excreted. They are also high in energy, healthy fats and many other nutrients. They could be mixed with the oatmeal as a supplement and I would be very surprised if the rabbit didn't love eat all of it. A bit of blackstrap molasses is another way of adding nutrients and energy to the mix.

Thank you everybody! I gave him a few oats and he ate them right up! How long do you think it will be before I start seeing improvement?
