Pure lion head or mix?

Hi! I just adopted this handsome boy from my local animal shelter. He is not neutered therefore I can still enter him in my local fair. I will likely just enter him in the class 4 crossbred but I was your thoughts of his breed. He definitely has some lion head I just don’t know if he’s just a subpar pure bred or a mutt.

It's pretty unlikely to get a purebred from a shelter, plus they look a little bit like a Netherland to me
