I just did 3 litters of 10 to 12 week old bucks and I am so happy with the results :bananadance: :bananadance:
Their weights ranged from 4lb 6oz to 5lb 13oz :wr_sun:
I now feel that it IS possible to get 5lb in 8weeks on a forage, grain and hay diet and I'm just so thrilled that I'm making the right choices in my does
The youngest bucks were from "The Beast", who seems to have maxed out at 9lb 2oz, and although 11 and 13 days younger than the other two litters they were actually some of the bigger kits!
She is definitely a keeper
and I think I might select one of her sons in her next litter to see if he can pass on her fast growth traits, I've already selected two of her daughters and we'll see how their litters fare in 6 months
