If all went well last month, we should have a couple of litters towards the end of the week.

This is where we get to see if the underground ice boxes kept our sr buck from going sterile. Whether the new doe we got at the end of last season is worth the feed she has been eating. And also whether the jr buck we kept from last year was up to the challenge. Fingers crossed. :bunnyhop:

Good luck to the both of you. I have 2 doe s due by Wednesday. the one doe lost her first litter and her 2nd litter had 3 but only one lived, and I had to foster him. I bred her with a different buck this time around. Fingers crossed we all have healthy litters.

Oh sorry I forgot to update LOL. The new doe apparently never took. Whether it was her fault, or the buck still being sterile when we tried to breed her is anyone's guess. Just bred her again this past weekend so we shall see.

The buck may have been sterile on her but seems to have recovered as the next doe we bred him with kindled 4 fat and sassy babies. She is a good Mom but always only has four.

The jr buck we had saved from last year played houdini and escaped. He met a with a sad demise.

We now have another young buck (Lightening) we got from a lady not far from us but so far he doesn't seem to have a clue what he is supposed to do. We always put the doe with him first to see if he will try and when he doesn't, we hand her over to Thunder. Hopefully in a few more weeks he will be a little more "mature".

__________ Fri Oct 18, 2013 2:26 pm __________

Pics - or it didn't happen...

Your babies are so cute! My one doe had 2 still born on the 8th. My other doe had her litter on the 15th. 4 nice and wiggly little ones. They were all the pinkest babies I've had, but now they are turning a color I have never seen in my rabbits. They don't really look like any blues i've seen. They are like a light silver grey. I'm clueless as to the color. Guess I'll have to wait a little longer and see if they change.

Well congrats Becky!

__________ Tue Oct 29, 2013 2:28 pm __________

This one is trouble! He was already out the pipe and in the main cage with Mom this morning. Tried to shoo him back through the tunnel but no dice. Had to scoop him up and put him back in with his siblings myself.

AWWWW how sweet they are. They have gotten so big. Mine are 2 weeks today. Still don't know what to think of the little grey one. I was hoping for some Brokens like yours.

LOL - I kinda like your little grey one. Guess it's like that old saying "people with grey hare want broken hare and people with broken hare want grey" :)

Wait maybe that was curly and straight hair....
