Hi new to the forum! This is my first litter of kitts and moms are doing an amazing job. I have two does, one with a litter of 6 the other with a litter of 4. 2 of the litter of 6 have what I like to call Mohawks and are missing some patches of hair is this normal at 7 days or should I be worried? :(

Mohawks... would these be Lionheads? Double maned lionheads will be missing fur on their sides for a while still after the fur on top and on their heads is growing in.

-- Thu Apr 30, 2015 9:31 pm --

Pictures would be really great, too! :)

Yes they are lionheads! I am going to try to upload pictures so you can see

-- Thu Apr 30, 2015 9:07 pm --

Here is another kit from the same litter

The bald-sided ones are all DM (Double Maned) Lionheads. The black otter is single maned, or not-at-all-maned maybe?

Oh my goodness! Thanks so much!!! I was worried it could be a parasite or something! I read too many things on the Internet today making me think I needed to rush to the vet!!! Such a relief thank you all and glad I found this forum!

You're welcome! :p Glad we could put your mind to rest! :D

Those look just like the other pictures I've seen of double maned lionhead babies. If I'm not mistaken, all the spots that are bald right now are the places where the wool is going to grow in.

And you're going to have to post pics after they get their wool! They look like they'll be really cute!
