Ok so I had a litter I sold a month or so ago. There were two who I thought were sables but now I'm questioning if they were maybe seal, after seeing pics of seal kits.
The mom was a black false charlie. I am assuming she is a self chinchilla, because the the litter colors were either chinchilla or black. She is for sure black. The other c gene I'm not sure.
The father is a blue seal, not sable.
The other kits were for sure broken black and broken blue.
At first I thought the sable/seal kits were blue, as they were a dark grey color at birth(one is broken). Then, the fur turned grey-brown and then dark brown. It had ticking. But now, looking back, they are very dark. I had assumed the mother must have carries c or ch, but now I'm wondering if she carries cchl.
So, was I right, or were they seals? I'm wondering because I've bred her to my smoke pearl(sable) buck hoping for REWs but maybe I was wrong and I'll get selfs, seals and sables.
I've posted pics of just the solid, the broken was the exact same color. They go in order from newborn, a couple days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks.

__________ Thu Jun 22, 2017 4:12 am __________

added
