What are the differences between these color patterns?
In my mind otters have varying shades of tan, martens a more uniform white, concerning the marked areas of the body. Fox I have no clue. Somebody help me out here lol.
Ultimate goal is otters btw. Doe birthed my first blue otter kit, although has a DQ white sock, but still I was excited. Now I have a new baby blue that has a lot more tan coloration. Thinking the original one with sock is a blue marten???

They all have the tan gene "at_"

Tans are full colour, full extension and also wideband ( at_ __ C __ E_ ww) and should lack white agouti markings

Otters are tans that don't have wideband (at_ __ C __ E_ W_)

Fox are torted otters and non extension = at_ __ C __ ee W_

Martens are otters that are sable (sable marten =at_ __ cchl_ __ E_ W_) or chinchilla (silver marten = at_ __ cchd __ E_ W_) this one can be confusing if you look at European sites as they call this colour "silver fox" which is a breed in North America (and is basically a black rabbit with two silver genes and unique stand up fur)
