So black otter doe bred to creamy black jap.

Produced
1 magpie
1 tricolour
1 not sure what it is...thinking perhaps opal??
1 chestnut with otter ??

Is that even possible????

If not...what could the kit be?

doesn't look like it's been harlequinized.... I should see if I can get a decent picture of them...

__________ Tue May 28, 2013 7:17 am __________

okay here are the pictures

the whole litter

Mystery colour 1

Mystery Colour 2

Mom - otter and tricolour throughout pedigree

Dad - tricolour and jap throughout pedigree. he's either cream with black OR a cream with a really deep blue

The magpie is probably agouti, the best tris are agouti based, otherwise you can't get agouti with an otter and a self based rabbit.

okay...the doe is broken black with brown ear lacings and brown around the nose and brown behind the head....I thought that was standard black otter?

The mystery kit one ... if it's a chestnut agouti it's got something odd going on with it. It's not a normal shading on it. It's different than any other chestnut I've ever gotten and it's turning chinchilla coloured either. I know that time will tell but that one for now continues to stump me.

The mystery kit two... for all intents it seems chestnut. It really does, but it's got this oddness about it that has me wondering on it some. Time will tell for sure on it. I'll continue to watch and take pics and perhaps it will outgrow this oddness.

I'm going to have to give the buck another good look but handled he appears to be the creamy shade consistently throughout except where he has the harlequin patterning. He's out of a tri doe and a jap buck.
