Yes, lots of good info there... and lots of food for thought. Many of those plants - lamb's quarters, dandelion, peppermint, raspberry and blackberry are ones that get thrown in the greens bucket regularly. Makes me think that this may account for the absence (so far!) of any signs of parasites in my colony rabbits.

One reason I feed quite a bit of chicory is that it is supposed to be a preventive for intestinal worms. Some of the plants on that list would have to be stuffed down a rabbits throat though. I can't imagine a rabbit eating epazote willingly. It smells like kerosine and tastes like turpentine. It would probably work well if you could get it down them though. It is used in Mexico to eliminate worms in both livestock and humans.

I feed chicory nearly every day from spring to fall. It is a mainstay of the green portion of my rabbits' diet. They love the stuff... good to know it helps eliminate internal parasites too.

My rabbits scarf chicory down like spaghetti! I wonder if ragweed would be antiparasitical in nature? They sure love it, and it smells as strongly , if not worse, than the cut chicory!
