This came up in a different discussion... which led me to ask folks about their experiences with heat sterility in bucks and asking you to describe your typical climate in warmer weather.
I'm curious to see if we can recognize any pattern to this.
When describing let us know what seems "normal" or more typical summer temps. And what kind of peaks and how long they last. One day? Or a week?
Important; Include any information that helps mitigate high temperatures like Misting and fan systems. Is the rabbitry shaded? How much?
Please name your breed or if mixed what is their average size.
Exclude any rabbits that have not had time to adjust to your area. Like if they came from Alaska to Florida two days ago LOL
I'm located in Western Oregon, typically our summers will have some 95f and up to 105f days in the summer. Happens sometimes 3 or 4 times in one summer and other times we don't hit that high at all.
My personal experience concerning heat sterility has been when we hit triple digits, I don't *think* it has been an issue below 90 f.
