This is our newest litter of Mini Lops out of Black Japanese Harlequin Doe, & Tri color with low rufus factor Buck

I am learning and just learned today that not all Magpies are the same color. This made sense as I thought both the 2nd and 3rd (counting from the right) were Magpies but obviously they look different than one another.
So, is the darker one a black Magpie & the lighter one Blue or Lilac Magpie? OR is the lighter one not a Magpie at all? Thanks for replies!!

From what I'm seeing in this litter is 2 Harlequin, 1 'spotted' charlie, a blue Magpie, black Magpie, and Calico (aka tri-color).

Lovely kits there!

:yeahthat: harlequins, magpies, Tri colours (broken harli) and broken magpies can come in black, chocolate, blue and lilac.

They can also be self based (AKA torted Harli) or shaded instead agouti based or chinchilla :)

I see 2 black harlis, a broken black (might turn into a broken black magpie), a blue magpie, a black magpie, and a broken black harli

So glad to see all these replies! Thank you all SO much for helping identify each one for me! So helpful! I just hadn't realized there were so many color varieties! Fun.
Thanks again. :)

__________ Sat Jan 17, 2015 3:57 pm __________

Harlequin is a pattern not so much a color. So you can get any color harlequin or magpie. Take a look at http://rabbitcolors.info/int/en/groups/eJ.html . Click the picture for all entries or you can restrict the colors shown even further.

Thank you Akane! I've never come across this site before. I love sites that give good photos. I will enjoy checking it out!
