No wheat, no barley, is just oats ok?

I picked up a bag of pellets today and the price had jumped from $15 to $20, the feed guy said to expect it to jump again. He carries Oats at $10 for 50lbs, but no wheat or barley. I'm having trouble sourcing those. Would JUST oats be ok (and BOSS) or do I really need a mix?

I know people who have raised them only on corn. Personally I think the mix is just better rounded but I picked up the last bag a wheat in my area and no one has barley. One member used allfeed. Maybe that would be possible to mix in?

Oats might be ok if you also feed alfalfa in some form.

What about rye? I know here its pretty popular with the hunters. That might be easier to find.

I feed oats and BOSS and mix them 3 parts oats to 1 part BOSS but I also have hay and pellets to go along with it. My buns will crowd the tin can I put it in waiting for me to put it there.
