I've harvested my first rabbits, and I'm not sure about how the lungs look. The livers all look fine to me, but I can't decide if the lungs are "yellowish" or just "pale". They look more pink in this photo than they did in person. Would any of your more experienced folks please take a look at these two sets of lungs and let me know if you think the meat will be safe or not? For additional info, please note that the rabbits were dispatched with a .22 pellet to the brain at close range, and then hung up and bled within 30 seconds. Not sure if that matters or not, but I thought perhaps the lungs looked pale because the rabbit had been thoroughly bled. Is that a thing?
