This weekend, we hopped in the car, and drove to the eastern side of the state to pick up some new bunnies. It had originally been supposed to be one bunny, but you know how they multiply.. I ended up bringing back four new babies.

I feel really lucky that I found this breeder who spent a lot of time through e-mails, and in person talking to me about the breed and giving me hints. I probably didn't deserve the fact that due to life changes, she had decided to cut showing out for the most part and passed on her show stock to me. She also gave me carriers, nest boxes, her show kit, and miscellaneous stuff that she thought I needed. Amazing!

I brought home a black doe, Lizzie, who has 3 grand champion legs, and has produced several nice winners herself in 3 litters. She is sweet, and very nicely put together.

Lizzie's daughter, also a black doe, who is better than her mom. She's only 5 months old, and starting her jr blow, but she's going to be awesome.

Lizzie's son, a chocolate buck. He has an amazing head, super cute personality, and is well put together.

At the last minute she filled out the carriers with a REW doe, who is an outcross to the other 3, though still related. She is not quite as pretty through the head, but still has a nice build. Will see if I can figure out how to insert photos later :).

Here is Lizzie, the GC doe. Photo from her breeder. She just turned 2.

And Princessa, the REW doe. She is just over a year. Has had 1 litter, but only been shown a couple times. Not sure that I'll show her, but I do need to register her. She cracked me up the entire time we drove (over 3 mountain passes) she watched me, yawned, threw her hay tube around, and generally made her feelings known.

:bouncy: :congratulations: :bouncy:

I agree with Mina- I think the conversations and emails had a lot to do with you getting them, and her being so generous with supplies. What a very, very nice thing to do!

The bunnies are lovely! I can't wait to see the rest of the crew!

Here are the 2 babies. The buck is much nicer than these photos, he is losing his baby coat, and didn't want to cooperate. Silly teenagers!

Hershey (BF named him) He is really quite compact, and his head is amazing. Just turned 5 months old. Nice heavy bone too.

Sabrina. she is better than her mom, awesome build. I have a hunch her coat will be going soon too, can't wait to show her. These 2 are siblings.

Sabrina is my favorite! Simply beautiful rabbits. It's always nice to get that extra bit of help from someone more experienced... Congratulations!
