Just had to share my new english lop litter born on the 16th. The Dam is my self blue, Little Princess, and the sire is my broken blue otter, King Arthur. There was 6 born. So excited, because 2 are broken and one is an otter, which is my first time producing these in a litter! The other are self blue. Can't wait to watch them all grow! The mom went a little far with cleaning the otter, as you can see in the pic she split the ear and knicked the hip area. Seems to be healing fine with no sign of infection.

Updated pics of the babies! They are now 2 weeks old and eyes are open. One of them I thought was a self blue, though when it was born it seemed to have a slightly lighter belly, but definitely not pink like the otter. But now that their fur is growing in there seems to be some brown on its feet and ears and it's belly is a slightly lighter blue. Is this a badly marked otter?

I don't really like English Lops (mainly because of the way their ears sit when they're posed) but the Others are very pretty

Yeah, they aren't everyone's cup of tea, but that's the beauty of the wide variety of rabbit breeds. This is my first time producing otter in my own litter, I'm in love with them 😍. I'm really consiering on keeping the nice looking otter doe with the split ear

Thought I'd update this post with updated pics of the blue otter doe that I had kept from this litter, now named Tabitha. She developed beautifully! She will be ready to try for her first litter here in a month or 2. Excited to see what she produces!
