I felt that way you are feeling now from the time Luna gave birth until they all made the 5 week mark. Still hoping all continues smoothly because I'm just truly attached to all of them. The "other shoe dropping" feeling always went away when all my other tribe members hit that 12 week mark.

So has anyone ever had a new mama have a litter that goes totally smoothly and everyone lives?? Because she's doing so well, I feel like I'm sitting around waiting for the other shoe to drop, ya know what I mean? :help:

Yup, I have that happen most of the time, but I have the larger, commercial body type breeds.

Yup! So far 3 out of 3 new moms have all had successful litters. No stillbirths, no issues.

But yes, I understand that feeling. I keep expecting to find dead kits. I'm happily disappointed every day. :)

Lily lost 2 at birth, but then everyone else did great. Hannah's 3 are 2.5wks, and are doing spectacular - if anything, she's been taking too good of care of them, I actually pulled the nest for a while because she was feeding them too well!

Yes, I have one new mom right now and she's like a miracle. I was expecting the worst, but she is awesome!
I've never had any first time mom's do so well, they always mess up one thing or another.

Me too! I'm always prepared for the worst, but keeping finding 4 warm, plump, wiggly bodies :)

Thanks so much, guys! I already feel better :) I hope continues to go well for all of us! Here's to popping popples! :beer2:

Yeah I have a maiden doe who pulled fur yesterday. She is a hyper one full of energy but calm when held and petted. Hoping for the best right now.

So far, still so good over here! :) I couldn't be happier. One is just a tad bigger than the other 4, but all with full bellies!

So thrilled to hear all is going well. YAY for FULL bellies! Sounds like Mom is doing her job very well. Look forward to hearing more updates on your popples! Especially pics when they fur up.
