Thought the two lightest ones were white when they were born. Now at 3 days old what color do you think? I haven't had white babies before. Two blues and a tort for sure. My first baby tort :D Mother is a tort mutt, father is a self blue from her first litter mated back to her. Grandfather is self blue. Thanks for the help!

Does the darker tort have a specific color? Or just a tort?
Haven't ever looked at tort genetics or colors. I'm just getting a firm grasp on the self colored Satins I have.

You could call them black torts, but most of us just say tort.

I think the lighter kits are blue torts too. They will be SO pretty when they grow out.

Black torts are often called just "torts". All other torts are called by a color then tort.

Hi ekblair
I haven't been on in awhile, whew whirlwind summer but it was great!
How is your bunny project going?

Going well! Butchered one set of litters, the second are in the grow at cages. We sold off the meat mutt trio and just have the Silver Fox. I have one litter of SF about two weeks old and another due Tuesday :D

Oooh very jealous  lol
I considered getting some SF from Alaska Wolf & Sara King? I think it was. Where did you get yours from? Are they nice buns?
Trying to behave and just stick with Satins for now :x because of cage space, time, finances, and trying to show the purebred buns and learn the ropes of that.

Yep, that's where I got mine from :) they are really sweet. Could be better conformationally, but they are good to learn with. So far great moms! I hope to bring some back from the lower 48 when hubby and I drive down to visit family next summer :D
