Ok, I have NO idea where to put this (is there a breeding section??) so ill ask here.

I don't think rosa the Rex took, But I thinks Charlie did. She acts like she's very slow, heavy, and has been VERY nice to me! Meaning she doesn't try to attack me, woohoo

So my dad, well I'm going to hire him to build a couple next boxes. However, I'm not sure of the rabbit - to - box demensions should be. So, should the rabbit be able to lay in it, or just stand? Should she be able to turn around (like without having to jump out) or?? Since we have a Cali doe ill have him make her one, and then 2 for the Rexes (since their the same size ). But other then that.. What should the doe be able to do? Ill measure the rabbits if y'all want then you could reccommend what sizes would probably be best.

Thank you! :cheer2:

The nest box should be built to size for the rabbit. One inch of space on each side. Measure the rabbit , build the box two inches longer and two inches wider.

Otherwise you'll have the same problem I did with my first litter .... Lost 10 of 12 due to the momma laying in the box with (more like on top of) the kits and suffocating them.

I have Rex, and I use the Sani-nests from BASS Equipment. They are 10" wide, 18" long, and 9" high.

Okay, yes the original post was a long time ago but I'll bite.

I'm raising FL White and had a larger nest box that the rabbit didn't want.

So, I've built a 10" x 15" x 10"

Hoping that's not too small.
