I just got done making a nest box for Lola, but I think I might have made it to small.... How much bigger then her should I have made it? I did not want her to be able to lay in it so that she just feeds them and moves on so to speak. She has not had any kits yet, not due till the 5th. I made it since she was trying to make a nest out of her hay ration this morning. It looks a little tight to me. Any pointers?

Generally you want there to be about an inch or two of clearance front to back and side to side.

Yep, just a little bit bigger than the bunny it's for. :) I can't tell from the pix whether hers is or not.

You've got 10" height in the back, and what looks like 10" across the front, and 15" front to back? That's big enough for a lot of bunnies. I think the front, which looks like 4", may be a bit low to keep babies in once they start poppling around. I think mine are 6", and I still have babies get out before they should. You do have a lip on it, which may keep them in, as long as you keep the hay from building up too deeply at the front.

:)
