Nest Boxes

Should we use a different type of nest box in the summer months? I have normal nest boxes but had to make a special one for a hard headed doe. So if she was refusing the first one because of heat but really do not know why she refused to use it so should I make more of the open type for summer use?

Not sure what type of nesting box you have right now but I use wooden ones with solid bottoms during the winter and summer with no problems.

I use standard wood nest box but she would not use it. I finally cut down a cardboard box with low side she took to it right away.

Glad she took to it. It still amazes me the one rabbit will like one thing but another rabbit will just refuse to use that same thing. I've tried to use cardboard but she tore that up and used it for nesting material.
