need help for a doe

My black doe has three kits that are about 5 weeks old. I took her out of the bottom cage today ... she is completely bald on both of her hips. I looked close and could see no flakes or bugs on her. Her Skin is not red or broken or lumpy at all. What might be her problem? She's in an all wire cage, and it is very clean, so it's not from being in her own urine or poop. Do kits ever chew fur off their dam?

Well, I've never heard of kits de-hairing their dam, but perhaps she did it herself? I have a doe that will keep pulling until the kits are three weeks, she goes extremely bald. Kind of funny, actually. Do you suppose your doe may still be pulling fur?

I don't think so ... they have been out of the box for a long time, and there's no fur floating around anywhere.
