This is Apple. She's a 13wk old NZ doe, from a red crossed with a white. I was told she was red, but I think she's actually Chestnut, which I am fine with(she'll make red with my boy!). I got her in trade for one of my meat mutt does. Actually, funny story, she's sired by my buck, as I sold her mother to the woman who bought my meat mutts!

This little guy is not yet named. He's just over 4wks, and was the biggest of the brokens in his litter(there was only 2, both boys). He is going to be the cross that gets my part NZ line(He's 3/4ths) to have the good attitude of my other NZ's. His momma was the fastest grower of her litter, and I'm hoping that he's going to keep being the fastest grower in his litter!

Okay, so Eddie isn't really new, I've had him for almost a year now, but how can I show off his babies without showing off Mr Meatloaf himself?!

And if I share Eddie, doesn't that mean Tofu needs her moment in the sun? She's my NZW doe, her full sister was momma to Apple. Tofu is a bit of a doughnut addict. She's been giving me the cold shoulder ever since I took doughnuts off the menu!

So that's my meat herd, in its entirety. Well, except the 3 mutt grow outs, and the other 3 in the 3/4ths NZ litter and the 2 NZ's in the nest...

They are all very cute. I love the little guy.

Apple looks a lot like my Daisy- and after breeding her to a fawn buck, I got blacks, chestnuts, fawns, reds, and a tort. You should get lots of colors from her and Meatloaf.

Breeding her to my red buck(His name is Eddie, not Meatloaf ;) ) should give me red and chestnut for sure, possibly black or tort. Apple would be A_B_CcD_Ee. I believe Eddie carries self, because he's sired black kits, unless they were very very very lightly marked steels.

I'm a big fan of the broken steel as well.

OK, so I figured Meatloaf was kinda like when I named my potbelly pig Pork Chop...I think Meatloaf is an awesome meat bun name :)

Eddie is not bad, either. And he sure is cute.

Eddie? Meatloaf? Made sense to me.

I just figured you were an old Rocky Horror fan!

Not many people pick up on that link. I tell people that all my meat rabbits have food names - Tofu, Apple and Eddie. They just don't get it ;).
