Or so it appears. I will take a photo. One of the kits (a Fawn or Tort... can't tell yet) has a distinct straight line of color at the halfway point of its back. Looks like it's been dipped. But, it is not a broken patterned kit.

Broken Fawn doe X REW buck. French Angora.

Pictures by later tonight....

It does, doesn't it? I honestly can't tell what it is yet. I'm going to feel foolish in a week when it becomes obvious. I feel like I learn things all over over again between litters.

lol! it sure looks cute!! it may outgrow it but if it don't it will be the coolest bunny out there!!!

Awesome baby!
I had some fawn kits with a line something like that. It wasn't nearly that intense, though!

Chocolate based?

I don't know! These are two new rabbits. Mama is A_ B_ Cc D_ ee. The REW has parents that are REW and RED, with Red going back the rest of the pedigree.

In angora, what is the difference in Red or Fawn? I've always called them Fawn. Is there a difference? Or is the a preference of terms for some?

In most breeds red has more rufus than orange or fawn, and wideband to make the belly and agouti marks red too.

A lot of reds are chocolate based, as that can reduce the appearance of smut.

Well, I can't wait to see what this one ends up looking like. I do really like my Fawns to be Chocolate based because they are bright and crisp looking.

Cool!
I have a buckling right now that is split in half the other way-- nose to tail-- with a fawn half and a harlequin half ;)

Oh a Harlequin would be so fun! French Angora... not acceptable color, right? The three non-extension in this litter are really taking on a lot of color as the hours go by. That is how we watch kits, isn't it? By the hour!
