My hutch

Here is my hutch I built, four separate spaces. It's 8ft by 3ft also added fold up tarp to both sides so when it's windy I can block it off. Also did automatic water system since the photo. About to extend the roof and add 2 large dog cages as my grow out pens.

Sounds like you've got all the bases covered! And they all have comfortably spacious cages at 2' x 3'. Protection from the elements. Nicely done!

The only thing I can think of is it could be knocked over by coyotes, if those are an issue in your area.

The far end post are 2 foot in the ground and the other end is screwed into the walnut tree. I figured the walnut tree provides tons of shade there in the summer.

Oh, okay! I just couldn't tell from the pic. Looks like you've thought of pretty much everything.

You're right, that tree should shade them nicely, especially if they are on the north side of it.
