So im really impressed with how he is looking. He is very stocky built has a nice head to me and poses good i think lol. So what do you guys think? He is 11 weeks old and maybe going threw his ugly stage right know but i think he is a nice looking starter buck for my daughter. Does anything stand out that we need to watch for? Im thinking he needs more shoulder mass. They seem small but he may grow them later on. How does his crown look so far? Robin is taking him to her first 4-h show in 2 weeks :) And may do the showman ship with him.

__________ Wed Oct 16, 2013 9:37 am __________

These poses were all on his own lol. As soon as we tried to pose him he would re arrange himself lol

Beautiful ,
I was given a lop i just dont know what it is im thinking long wide ears french ?
i dont remember them all i was into them for meat now just manure . your boys is amazing though WTG

He is adorable!

He may be a little pinched in the hindquarters- his feet are making a slight "V" in the first pic.

Hopefully some of our lop breeders will chime in, but I really like his head and ears. He has a nice wide muzzle too.

I had a pedigreed tort holland buck for show for a while. He looks weak in the hind quarters, has a nice head.

He has decent width to his face, but I also consider when they are young that he has good potential to develop a decent head. His crown is slipped,so something to watch. You want the ear to drop right behind the eye. Because of his slipped crown, his ears will appear too long for the face. His crown may improve some, but probably not much. I do like his shape of his ears. He does have a fold to the base (but that me being nit picky, my barn doesn't have all perfect crowns and ears. I just try not to breed two rabbits with the same weakness together)

He is kinda on a weird surface, so try getting him on a flat surface, well lit, and possibly with carpet to grip to get a proper evaluation. He looks like he has low, long shoulders to me from this picture of him. He also appears to be slightly pinched.

He appears to have decent bone.

Work on getting updated pictures on a better surface :)

__________ Sun Oct 27, 2013 9:37 am __________

also try to take an arial view. You can evaluate shoulders and width that way. Even with my breed, Mini Lops, I see deep ones, but then they have no width! They are quite tubular when you put your hands on them!

Thanks im letting him grow a bit and plan to get more pics. He placed very low at the 4-h show which surprised me. But i know each judge has there own opinion on what they wanted. This judge was all about head, ears and the coat. But his full sister got BOB at that show lol. This is the best pic i have of her really need to get a updated pic. This was a 8 week old pic and she is like 13 weeks.
The big thing is we cant get them to tuck there butt under them more unless its case there to long.

Im a little tougher then her so i will ride the biting stage out with him. And help her work him. I think i like Mini rex better with the whole posing part. Anyway we decided to take some pics not the best i know the lighting was bad as it was late evening again and where using a light from the barn. but i wanted to show u how well we did I think LOL. Peach i got a over head pic just for u I know he was turning
