When are you able to move a doe with babies? Like, if you were selling a doe with her litter, how old would the kits have to be for the move to be safe for the babies?

I dunno. But thought I'd mention, I bought a doe with a newborn litter, and they all did fine. I allowed mama a place to hide and feel secure until she got used to me, though. She was crazy skittish. XD

if mom is going with them it should be ok, but if you are skiddish, then about 4 weeks.

I want to get them out of the situation they're in ASAP though. The kits were born in a cage that looks to have about an inch of dirty shavings in it.

Well if you are just moving cage to cage then there is no problem.

If you are moving some distance, several people have moved whole when they bought does.

No, they're about a 1/2 hour away from me. Not my kits. Responded to an advert from someone advertising 2 lionheads, and got offered 12 of them. I'm taking 2 does, one of which is most likely pregnant, and one of which has kits in the nest. The poor woman is completely overwhelmed, and admits that she has too much on her plate, so I'll bring em here, raise the kits and decide what to do with them.

And CONGRATULATIONS on finding some more LHs!!! I know you have been looking for a while!

I moved cross country with a mini lop litter and mom. They were 12 days old. I also rescued a doe with babies who were around 10 days old or so. She did just fine too. I'd get them out of there ASAP.
