Mischif is not eating

My old boy Mischif has not eaten in2 days. Wont even touch his carrots, papaya or anything. Just sits there looking miserable. I took him out a little while ago he has dried crust on his nose, seems to be breathing fine just acts depressed and not interested in anything. I know he's 7 yrs old so shouldnt be surprised at anything , just sad is all

The crusty nose doesn't sound good.

Have you tried giving him parsley to stimulate his appetite? Is he drinking? If they don't drink, they don't eat- you might tempt him with an electrolyte drink.

Give him a crock of water or electrolyte solution. Rabbits often drink more when it is in a crock. Try tempting him with parsley, as MSD has already suggested, or dandelion greens or clover. You could also try some kitchen oatmeal. So sorry this is happening, but I don't know what else to suggest. If you haven't already done so, he should be put in isolation to protect your other rabbits.

Thanks Maggie and Mamma, Ive tried all of the above and still no luck he's just laying there looking miserable. He is 7 yrs old maybe a little over. I've had him all his life. So this afternoon I took him out and sat with him in the shade just holding him and having a talk, he just layed there .If he is no better tomorrow and hasnt eatin anything or drank anything he's suffering and I cant let him suffer.

:idea: Wool block can cause loss of appetite and I'm sure if bad enough would cause discomfort! Try the olive oil and molasses- the molasses will give him a boost anyway.

Checked on Mischif just now, and still he hasn't drank any water nor has he eaten anything including all if favorite goodies. I have tried all sorts of things for him. Including putting food in his mouth which he spits out. I know he's suffering just by looking at him. Im not sure how long I can let him suffer like this.
