Hi all,

I am about ready to transition away from pellets onto natural feeding, so I'm looking into sources for mineral salt blocks.

How long do the 4# blocks last? I have 3 meat mutt does, plus ltters, in each pen.

If I have to get a flavored block (apple or something), might the rabbits eat too much because they like the taste?

Thanks.

I have a block in each cage (one rabbit per cage). Each block lasts at least a year.

Be sure to get a block with trace selenium - a mineral commonly added to pelleted feeds that is essential in miniscule amounts. Not all mineral blocks are the same. Spend a little time shopping in the horse section of the feed store and you will find that there are salt blocks available with selenium.
