My little sister and I had a great time at the state 4-H show this year! It was my last one, and we could only afford entries for six rabbits between the two of us, so I only showed my American Chin and Sister showed five of her Havanas. I got Best of Breed, though, and she placed pretty darn good with the Havanas!

I also got first place in breed ID in the senior division.

Plus, I sold two Havanas, got two Californians (one free, one in exchange for tattoo services), and got a hook-up with some free mismarked Rhinelanders for my colony project.

AND, this isn't show related, but awhile back I traded two Havanas for two French Angoras, and ended up selling those Angoras. The original FA owner who got the Havanas is moving and gave them back to me, with a half a bag of feed. I was out nothing in that deal, and made $75 off of the Angoras when I sold them.

Can you say blessed?! I'm on a roll!

Congrats to you and your Sis, Cait!

Wonderful that you "made out" on the Havana/Angora deal too. It doesn't get much better than that!

My girls went also and we had a great time. My Daughters took 1st with her Chocolate Netherland Dwarf, 1st with their Blue Mini Rex and 1st and BOV with their Opal Mini Rex. :p
We learned a bunch about our new French Lops from the breeder, that was a great experience for my daughter.

OK, am I missing something? Cait posted in January, it's now July?? Not saying congratulations aren't in order -- belated maybe?

Oh.. I think we were all looking at the J__, perhaps the heat is getting to us?

I'm sure Cait will thank Cindi for allowing her to relive the glory days of January! :)
