A tiny holland lop doe.. doesn't even hit three pounds.

Bred to bigger bucks 3-4 lbs, and gives me peanuts ALL THE TIME. Hadn't had one viable litter off this tiny doe.
This was her last kick at the can.

Bred her to a tiny buck as I figured.. I've used everyone else, let's see what happens with this little boy Roger.... probably peanuts again, but MAYBE I'll get ONE kit I can keep. Roger is a very slow, gentle breeder, just a youngster yet, this is his first successful breeding.

I got a litter of four perfectly normal kits.

So explain this one to me???

( i am running into a similar situation with a tiny JW doe... Perhaps a different buck might work for her.... even tho i Really wanted a specific combination...Shall have to try )

A 4lb is still a "dwarf", need to breed to a false dwarf to have no chance of peanuts. Least you know the 4lbers are dwarfs and not false that way. You could breed repeatedly to same buck, if he's a true dwarf as well, and could have every single one be a peanut, be all peanuts but one, half split, or some thing else entirely...its a roll of the dice. You got lucky with the litter of 4 normals with a small buck

Glad you got some normal popples from her... she and the buck are adorable, so those should be some incredibly cute kits!

I have tiny JW and haven't had a peanut yet, but I've had a few BUDS, so I know despite how tiny they are, some bun here is not a true dwarf. I found it a bit odd too.

I sure hope the kits do well. I have a couple of people salivating over them already. And I don't even know their colours yet....But time will tell how they do. Sometimes the "I WANT I WANTS" make me smile, and other times it just makes me shake my head....
