Hi, me again -

I did search the archives and didn't find any info on this.

GERTIE2_Wacky_Pup_Great_Budget_Ideas_and_More.jpg

I have a large 13 lb doe (Gertie) who routinely has 8-10 kits with quite a variation in size. In this latest litter the largest are easily 2.5x the size of the smallest. There are probably 2-3 large ones, 2 tiny ones and 4-5 medium sized ones. She has always successfully raised all her kits, large and small.

Do all does have litters like this? or is she just special LOL

Thanks for any info!

I'd guess your rabbits aren't all that linebred? If there's a wide outcross fairly close to her generation, then a wide variation between kits would be more common, I'd expect? Might be something to look into.

Is she purebred?

She is purebred tamuk LOL I know that is a composite breed, not a pure breed.

She is breeding with an unrelated buck.
