Magpie X Japanese harlequin= Tri-colored?

So someone today posted a genetics question of Facebook that I actually knew the answer to (which was No the colors they wanted to cross wouldn't make Tri) and I informed them on what colors would make Tri colored kits. However another person told the that mixing a Magpie harlequin to a black and orange harlequin would produce Tri colored kits. I'm pretty certain this is wrong, but I wanted to be sure before I said anything

You need broken to get tricolored, unless the magpie is broken you wont get tris from that, you're correct

It can be difficult to tell broken magpie from regular magpie unless they are heavily marked. For example this kit is from a magpie x tri breeding. I'm pretty sure it's broken but you can see how someone with less experience might not.
