:beer2: But then the EPA would want a plan for all the smoke created from the BBQ'ing the chicken. and somebody would probably want a detailed report on how chicken grease was disposed of once removed from you fingers after eating. :chicken: Hmmmmmmm. I've got the answer to that one!!

I'm still in shock that it's even an issue, but good that some people are demanding that common sense overrule some vague law. :)

“Our country’s broke,” Hahne said. “And yet they have money and time to harass somebody about a rabbit.”

...yeah I wonder how much in the way of resources have been used to harass ONE dude with ONE rabbit. Jeez.

Hahne has an official USDA license, No. 43-C-0269, for Casey — a three-pound Netherland dwarf rabbit with a look of near-fatal boredom. The rules require Hahne to pay $40 a year, take Casey to the vet and submit to surprise inspections of his home.

WHAT?! That is ludicrous!!!

The 1966 law that started all of this was four pages long. Now, the USDA has 14 pages of regulations just for rabbits.

That is just unacceptable.

But Hahne has obtained professional help. Kim Morgan, who has written disaster plans for entire federal agencies, heard about his case and volunteered to help write the rabbit’s plan for free.

So far, the plan she has written is 28 pages.

................................wow. I hope they post it somewhere publicly when it's finished, because I bet it's a hilarious read for anyone with a little know-how.
