This is ChinPinny's litter (holland Lop)

the light one I have no clue on colour yet (here only two days old)
the bluish one I'm thinking might be a smoke pearl
then a chestnut or chin, and the small one I believe is a tort...though why it would be tort makes no sense to me. We've not had tort from this breeding EVER. So it's just odd.

Then we have Marie's litter (holland lop)

this litter gave me the expected harle/jap/tris...but once again.. A tort? How on earth did I get a tort from a jap buck and mag doe?????

Go figure.

then Lisa had these beauties (harle)

and Splash has these (harle)

This is a repeat of the litter in the winter that was so hoppy that all but one of 11 kits froze to death. This litter is JUST starting to open it's eyes and I keep finding kits out of the box. So I put in a very baby secure cage and tipped the box on the side in an effort to help save this litter. I may cull the doe and get a new buck to help decrease the suicidal tendencies of this cross.

and Biscuit only gave 10 this time rather than her normal 14. So no weaning out needed. All are fat and sassy.

that little choco jap is always separate from the rest. Not sure why...but it's an active little busybody. More than once I've caught it on the cold side but it just keeps to itself. weather is warm enough during the day it survives okay.

and I have a bunch of polish. Go figure....I breed my polish all winter and 1/3 them miss. So I bred them all again expecting half to miss...and NO all kindle so I'm scrambling for boxes.....(this is a happy frustration, but a frustration....) :)

anyways, I'm off to bed it's rather late... just staying up so I can see if olivia has kindled (first time mom polish pulling fur tonight)

YELLOW!

Adorable litters! Maybe for the one with the suicidal kits, you could give her a glued-shut cardboard box for a nest instead of a nest box. Cut a hole just big enough for the doe to get through right near the top of the box.

Only disadvantage is you'd be blindly groping for kits in the nest.

I was thinking last night about the choco jap and thinking....his dad is the same as the hoppy suicidal one...so it probably comes from his side of the family and is just showing up in one of the kits from Biscuit. Whereas the ones from Lisa tend to take after their mom...she's just a calm sweet girlie that nothing really phases her.

and yes...I have a colour coding system with picture taking.

Yellow is mixed litters or I have no clue on gender
Pink (girls)
Dark blue (boys).

I sometimes change it up to red for boys. :)

Cool, that'll work! :D

Congrats on all the pooples! :p All are so adorable!

I love the yellow! Looks like a color I would wear! Much to the sorrow of my family.

Well, at least you wont be able to get lost in a crowd! Or the woods... or the snow... or, well, anywhere!

I prefer earthtones myself- greens, browns, and I have a special affection for burgundy or wine color.

 Nope, I guess I wouldn't!

I love bright colors. I am a very bright, outgoing, and (if you asked my family) loud person. My wardrobe reflects that slightly (just slightly). ;) I have this real cool lime green vest with a few large Hawaiian type flowers on it. Totally cool! :p

and I am SO not into loud colours...I'm a very plain jane.... jeans and t-shirts is my style. My mom and sisters still despair of me... :) I got lots of lovely fleece towels from a lady who gave me three or four guinea pigs that she no longer wanted. They were rehomed, the fleeces stayed. :)
