What is the best thing to put in the litter box. I tried pine, hay and cat litter s do far. Pine and hay gets dragged out and makes a huge mess. I don't think they like cat litter and it isn't very absorbent and smells fast but there was no mess at least. Any better ideas. I have Flemish Giants and they're really good about using the litter box. Thanks

Try the horse stall pellets. They're compressed sawdust, like woos stove pellets -- which you can also use, if they don't contain accelerant.

Put about an inch in the litter box, and stir it each day. Eventually, it will all be sawdust. Then, you start removing wet spots, replacing them with a handful of pellets. You can replace the whole shebang once a month, or before if you want to.
