I am wanting to purchase a lionhead buck to breed with my lionhead doe. I posted in the genetics section about what colour I am wanting to achieve (BEW) in kits...but my question here is what to look for in a buck as far as physical appearance? Like body build, etc. I do not know much about the lionhead breed, and am trying to learn more, but does anyone here have any opinions for me? Thanks.

The proposed lionhead standard from the North American Lionhead club - http://www.lionhead.us/downloads/Muelle ... ieties.doc

You should choose a buck that can improve upon your does faults.
If she has weak shoulders then get a buck with good ones
If her ears are too long them pick a buck with small ones
If her mane is outstanding then you may get away with a buck who's mane is not perfect but good enough.
etc...

Where in Ontario are you? I know a great former-BEW breeder in Kingston, and one in the Niagara region who I could get you in touch with, who would be more than happy to help you find/pick a BEW or Vienna buck for your doe.
