I have a litter of 10 Flemish cross kits.
At 3 weeks they weighed between 200-300 g (9-11 oz) which seems pretty light to me when I see weights on meat kits hitting 1.5 lbs. at 4 weeks.
They are eating hay and pellets with mom and drinking water.
None seem to be lagging or runty, but they are slender... it was easy to tell if I needed to get in an extra feeding for them for the first two weeks, but not anymore.

Should I be providing some goat's milk in a water bottle or something else to help them along due to litter size?
Or supplementing the doe (she is on free feeding 16% pellets, hay, oiled black sunflower seeds and a few veggie treats)?
Or are they just fine for this stage?

{anxious newbie} :x

do not give them goat's milk. They don't need it.

If you supplement at all offer them plain, uncooked oatmeal.

BUT I'd worry NOT on them. Depending on how much flemish they have in them they could have the flemish body build of building the bone before they put on their weight.

Thank you!
The amount of Flemish is in question ;) but I'll add the oats and let them carry on as they are-- I have 9 week old Holland Lops and Californians here -- it is truly amazing how vastly different their body types can be... The 3 week kits are so much sturdier than the lops already but u was surprised at how little they weigh :)

I just wanted to add that keeping track of weights as you are has helped me a lot. I can go back and look at previous litters and get good info on when I should step in and try to supplement and when things are fine. With the records, I find that most of the time, things are fine. :)

I have litters at the moment of 12 and 11 kits from my New Zealand does. The kits are five weeks old tomorrow. They have had slower growth rates than some of my smaller litters, but now that they are eating on their own, they are picking up weight fast.

Both does handled all of their kits. Both litters actually started out as 13 kits- one was DOA, one was trampled and died, and one just flat out disappeared. But the ones left are doing great. Both does regularly have large litters (so far) and have done well.
