We had a maiden doe Kindle yesterday with 7 kits and today our other doe who's had one litter before kindled 8 kits. Both were both bang on 30 days.

My question is the maiden doe's kits are half the size of the other one. Is this just genetics or is it normal for a first time doe to produce smaller kits? The does are litter sisters so I wasn't expecting much difference.

I think the more kindles or times birthing will result in bigger kits, or more kits but can’t say for sure why. Possible causes uterus streched,doe familiar with kindling not as stressed,
