Kindling?

This afternoon I noticed that chilla was having contractions and breathing heavily but it’s only 11 days into her pregnancy and she didn’t built a nest. I gave her a nesting box chest in case but I am really confused.

And she is grunting at me all the time and she HATES it when I touch her belly.

Now she is back to normal.

Were you there for her breeding or did someone else get that done for you? It is possible she is farther along than you were told. I would keep an eye on her. Getting her a nest box was good. Is she still traveling with you or is she in her new home?

I am not traveling any more and I was not there for her breeding. In the evening it stopped (contractions and heavy breathing) and she was using her nesting box as a litter box so I took it out.
