I'm not sure how this happened but here he is my daughters' English Angora Bunny. We went to visit a rabbit friend who Had a litter of these tumbleweeds and somehow the deal was struck between my two and her daughter I have no idea what the exact trade was but we got our part yesterday. He's currently residing in our spare room that needs new carpet - this is my thrown together indoor rabbit home until I can figure out a better one. He has always been indoors and It would be pretty darn wrong of me to set him out in an Arkansas Summer! So I figure we have acquired our first house bunny...

so here it is in all it's poorly photographed glory - Juvenile Onset Rabbitosis Type W (wool) AKA - Pink Fluffy Unicorn (from an earworm of a song they continually play on youtube).

PFU likes big man laps

I suppose he could play soccer - the girls were sure he needed a ball

and because I thought is was too funny for the rabbit to be sniffing the dogs but ;)

Thanks! I Love Wicket and Tumbleweed!! but I doubt my 10 and 7 year-olds will let me change his name - surely! who wants to go through life with Pink Fluffy Unicorn as a handle. Maybe we could just call him Pink - lol - such manly name - poor guy!

Very cute. So pensive in the pictures--even while savoring Essence of Dog Butt.

I see you nicknamed him PFU. That was going to be my suggestion as well, if his manhood seems threatened by his whimsical name. Then it hit me that people might interpret the abbreviation to stand for some mighty objectionable phrases. Granted, it might raise his manhood status, but it would be to the level of a really rough biker dude, or maybe Eminen. Keep in mind though that I have had some challenging communications with people lately, so I may just be projecting my inner monologue onto his nickname, and no-one else would think of it at all (well, except maybe a really rough biker dude, and Eminem. And the folks who've read this post, now that I brought it up.). I guess backup nicknames could be Fluffy or Unic (as in "unique", not "eunuch"--that would really threaten his manhood!). Maybe I should just be quiet about names now.

He is very, very adorable. I'm not sure what they traded in return (let's hope it's not Faustian, although he'd almost be worth it. Almost.). but looks like they got a good, adorable deal!

So-o-o... :hmm: the kidlets have succumbed to Rabbitosis?

This makes me wonder if there is a dearth of anti-bacterial products in use in your home? Or hand-washing in general?

Or perhaps Rabbitosis is a VIRUS, and immune to soaps and antibacterial agents? :?

Whatever the reason, :congratulations:

You should be proud indeed to have infected your progeny with Rabbitosis.

However, since it is Type W, you must now invest in a spinning wheel or at the very least a spindle to help alleviate (or further? ) their symptoms.

PFU... yesss... that could be pronounced as "Phew!"

As in, "Phew! I am a house rabbit, NOT a meat rabbit!"

Judging by the smug, king-of-all-he-surveys attitude of Mr. Pink Fluffy Unicorn, he has already come to the above conclusion. And will be more than happy to live happily in the lap of luxury no matter what the household humans decide to call him. ;)

Ahhh....yes, yes, but of course. I see the error of my ways now. That totally makes sense. I can entirely see Mr. Living Bunny Slippers thinking,

Thank you once again MSD for setting the record strait. And to you Wheels for sharing such cuteness with us!

I would call him Fluff for short. Not very original, but when saddled with a name like PFU...

I admire your willingness to let your kids express their creativity though.

He certainly is cute and more importantly (it seems) an affectionate house bunny. Might want to be careful about washing up after handling other rabbits though, to help avoid the dreaded spraying. :x

Says the woman with a buck named Scarlett.... :pokeeye:

My oldest daughter got a lesson in blowing a coat out yesterday - we haven't tried it on PFU (Phew) yet, I've just been pulling off the loose stuff as I see it. As far as Buck issues I think we'll be okay (I imagine he'll always be the first rabbit we handle - but) I personally know his Parent's and Grandparents and they are all puppy-dog sweet with good gentlemanly manners... more reason why I didn't pitch a huge fit with the fuzzball was loaded up in the car!

__________ Wed Oct 14, 2015 1:38 pm __________

I wanted to update on the PFU - we took Phew or now even shorter of Peew to the State Fair last Sunday. there wasn't a ton of English Angoras and in all honesty we took him because I promised the girls - didn't expect much other than PFU getting a weekend trip out of the house.

apparently he has nice density! lol He took BOB in Show A and Show B. We all about died. So in his short show career he was shown twice got a 2 BOB and no legs (only 4 EA's at the show) He'll be retired to house bunny excellent. I'll have to dig out a photo of him. I don't think I have any that does his furry self justice.
