The kits are 5 days old today :) Of the four, two are about the same size, one is huge, and one is smaller. All kits have full bellies and are active, though. Is this okay? Or should they all be the same size? The big does have a big belly, but it's also bigger everywhere else too. And the little one isn't super tiny or anything, just "daintier" than the rest. LOL! But still with a full tummy. I'll try to get pictures later. They are very poppy popples, so it's hard to do alone.

Here's one of the tiny blue kit with one of the regular sized kits

I don't mind runty, just wanted to make sure it wasn't odd. I guess I should also mention that my AFL buck is a bit large and my AFL doe is a bit small. So I guess I'm getting one too small, one too big, and two the right size. LOL!

Sorry I was eating pizza and only had one hand. It's not abnormal to get runts, and larger kits. It's much better to get a uniform litter, and depending on why you are breeding, you will want uniform litters, that are about the same sizes.

Luna's REW's were bigger than her chocolates at birth. Now at 6 weeks (today, YAY) all have kind of leveled out except Molly is still bigger than her brothers. She takes after her Mom. The boys are kind of going to be like their Dad.

I think as long as they all have fat bellies, which means they are all getting their fair share of Mom's milk, they will do just fine.

They will do fine, but sometimes they will catch up, and sometimes they won't. If you are breeding for meat or the show table, watch the runty ones to see if they stay smaller, and don't select those for breeding. I've had runts catch up as soon as they were on pellets, and I've had those that never caught up. I've had a rash of buns not making senior weight, no fun, at all.
