Hi, I just joined this weekend. Way cool Forum! I have so much to learn about raising rabbits.

My husband and I have a 6-acre hobby farm. Here's the list!

5 horses: 2 Haflinger mares: "Sweet P" and "Peach", one old grumpy Morgan mare: "Gizzy", one blue roan QH mare: "Blue", one goofy white QH/X ? gelding "Thunder".

And in the brooders are 25 Leghorn pullets and 8 Golden Sexlink pullets as flock replacement (yes, the old biddies go to the stewpot this fall)

Plus the usual farm cats and one dog, German Shorthair Pointer named "Sam"

Wow, that is quite a collection of critters! You will fit right in with the animal-obsessed amongst us! I love Patricia, if she is the goat on the right, and Betty the spotted pig. I've always had an interest in llamas and alpacas, but haven't ever owned any.

We have 20 acres, and our critter count is 5 horses and a yearling colt, 6 goats (different percentages of Angora/Nigerian dwarf) 2 of which are wethers, a mixed flock of laying hens and some roos, 2 black Silkie chicks that my daughter will be showing in 4-H, a whole slew of "MamaSheepdogs Barn-Cats-Extraordinaire", 4 dogs: a Great Pyrenes, Jack Russell, Aussie/border collie cross, and an Aussie, 2 house cats, and a 23 year old Pakistan Leopard Gecko. Did I mention rabbits? We have a few of those, too!

Wow, what a wonderful collection of animals! Love the horses! Thank you for sharing the photos, they are all beautiful. :D

LOL MamaSheepdog sounds like you have a farmful, too! The neighbors on our back fence raise Great Pyrenese dogs and alpacas.

Our Llamas and little girl goats hang together, the llamas watch over the goats. We are hoping for kid goats this summer, these girls are so short and barrel-bellied that there's no good way to tell fi they are pregnant by looking at them. Just hope Billy Jack has done his job well enough. They won't be due until mid June at best and more likely sometime in July. (Billy Jack arrived on the farm in February)

This will make you laugh... when I listed them all out, I thought "that doesn't seem like much... am I forgetting someone?" :)

Diamond WELCOME !!!!! Im from the Portland area lived there most my life. Now I am located in Eastern Oregon with my 2 dogs and somewhere around 26 rabbits. of which 17 are babies. this is a great bunch of folks here :)

Cindi - my husband and I dream of retiring to the far Eastern oregon country, near the Snake river. We pack the horses into the Summit Ridge country in Hells Canyon for elk camp every fall. We also enjoy getting into the Fort Rock and SIlver Lake country just on the E. side of the Cascades. ,,,,big country out there. I get so boxed in here in the WIlamette. I am from NW Washington, grew up with the Olympic Nt'l Park and tons of Forest Service roads and trails in my back yard, could saddle up and ride for 20 miles from the barn..... public space is so comparatively limited where I am now.
