Absolutely! This has been recommended quite a few times here at RT. I've done it myself, too!Veliraf":w7x7thu9 said:Years ago I read(somewhere and can't remember where) that the best way to warm kits up was to stick them in your shirt against your skin. It works REALLY well. I don't have to worry about them either, I stick them in my bra and go about my other chores. About 20 minutes with the warmth and movement and they are squirming away, and can be stuck back in the nest box. I never found that warming them with a water bottle or light was as effective. A little unconventional, I know, but it works  Works well for chilled puppies and chicks too!
We actually did it with two kits we thought were dead. 15 minutes against the skin, and we still thought they were dead, until we saw the slightest movement.Mary Ann's Rabbitry":w7x7thu9 said:that wouldn't of worked in this case.. that is only good if they are a bit chilly.. this was almost dead.. It took an hour to warm it up with good heat going.
A short time later, they started breathing... it took about an hour, and we had to keep moving them on our skin, because they would chill the skin! They've grown up with the rest of their meat litter just fine.
