So today I picked up my first Standard Rex! I'm so excited because, as I mentioned, Rex are non existent in my area. The breeder recently moved down from an area that has more breeds available, so I'm lucky!
I got an adorable broken black doe we named Elizabeth(from the Hallmark channel show, When Calls the Heart). She is 6 weeks old and super sweet.
Her type doesn't seem that bad for a baby. Her fur isn't bad either, not too many guard hairs but not too soft. Her mom had luxurious fur, so I hope she matures to have that.
I wanted a buck too, but by the time I got there the bucks were sold. They went so quickly! The breeder will breed the doe again in a couple months so I will be staying in contact with her so I can buy a buck.
I'm just so happy to have a Rex! Her fur is so soft, I want to pet it all day  And I was surprised that the whiskers are curly! It's so cute!
