i dont know what happened. does it look like its healing or anyone see anything might not be quite right?
it looks like it is healing to me :/ i just want to see what yall think though. in case i might not have thought of something. thanks.

Do you have botfly's where you live ?

I found a kitten once with a bump and tiny hole on it's head years ago in the woods and that's what it was. I didn't realize what it was till the bump got bigger and it moved.

I dunno about the feet sores though.

If it is a botfly ... It's easy to kill and remove. Just put vaseline on the hole so it can't breath, wait a day or two then pull it out with a tweezer. It will die near the surface trying to get air. The sore will heal up quick. The botfly I pulled out of that kitten was the length of a nickle and twice as fat as the hole.

All that for that tiny kitten and I believe a hawk or owl got it a few days later. :(

aww poor kitty :(

i have never heard of botfly but i will try the vaseline just in case.

__________ Sun Aug 12, 2012 10:19 am __________

EEEEWWWWW note to self.... NEVER LOOK UP BOTFLY PICS EVER EVER EVER AGAIN **GAG**

Yup it is nasty. This is the first time I have seen it or heard of it in domestics. I hop your bunny heals up nice.

__________ Sun Aug 12, 2012 12:09 pm __________

As a groomer, can't even begin to tell you how often I've seen botfly holes in dogs and cats. People usually have no idea so they just ignore it and then it gets naaaasty. :p

Most fun thing ever: showing the new people a botfly, lol. ;)

Poor bun does look like it's got a botfly larva in there...best of luck. :p Easy to fix!!! My vet friend says she loves fixing botfly-critters, since it's easy, instant gratification...yank out fly, squirt some antiseptic in there, and bam, all better!!!
