How Often to Feed

I am feeding out my first little of meat rabbits. I am trying to do so without feeding pellets, and I am feeding them barley fodder, hay, and other natural feeds (Mulberry leaves and other greens) They seem to be doing quite well at the 5 week point. I've been feeding them in the evening (right before I go inside for the night)and nothing more until the next evening. I am giving them what I feel is a pretty large amount and they have most all of it gone by morning.

Should growing babies have food in front of them at all times, or is a large portion once a day the right way to go about it?

I free feed my grow-outs so there is always food in their hopper.

I try to free feed my growouts, but they sometimes run out of food. I think optimally, they should always have food available.
