i have an 8x12 area, i can put in small shelf also, how many silver martens could stay in there? Any tips for colony raising?
I want to buy 2 sister does, that have been house together since birth, and an unrelated buck, who wont be with them full time.
I am hoping that the 2 does will be able to live together, since its a large area with 4 2x3 boxes and and 8 1x2 foot boxes. the smaller boxes will be built on the second "floor". the floor of the smaller boxes being the roof of the bigger. I will have a ramp up to the top.

What do you mean by boxes? I like the idea of two levels.

like the typical rabbit hutch has a box room thing off the side. There would be a lot for does to hide from one another, or some would probably kindle in one and stay in another, to not draw attention to them
